Learn sports management in a collegiate sports mecca
海角直播 is part of the tri-campus community that includes the University of Notre听 Dame and Saint Mary鈥檚 College. As a sports management minor, our location places you in the heart of one of the most iconic collegiate sports environments in the world鈥攁nd our partnership with Notre Dame enables you to take courses and attend athletic events at the home of the Fighting Irish.
The 海角直播 Sport Management minor consists of an 18-credit curriculum that will help you develop an understanding of how principles related to management, legal issues, marketing, ethics, and leadership are applied within various sports organizations.
Some of our course highlights include:
- Sports Marketing and Communications. Along with studying the roles that marketing, communications, and fundraising play in the sports enterprise, you鈥檒l also gain direct experience implementing a sports event project on campus.
- Sports Law (Ethics, Title IX). In this course, you鈥檒l gain an extensive overview of legal principles in sports鈥攆rom labor laws to the athlete/agent relationship.
- Contemporary Issues in Sport. By studying the issues among athletes, coaches, spectators, and others involved in youth, intercollegiate, Olympic, and professional sports, you鈥檒l consider this essential communal activity with an emphasis on civic virtue, fair play, and justice.
