Please Remember Our Parish in Your Will No matter what the size of your estate, if you want to provide for relatives, friends and our Parish, you need a Will. If you die without one, you lose the ability to control the disposition of your assets. The law of the State in which you reside-and not you-will tell your family where your money and property goes. Further, income tax and estate tax savings, which might be arranged through a careful review of your alternatives in the course of preparing your Will or estate plan, will be lost if no Will is prepared. Naming our Parish as a charitable beneficiary in your Will is simple. For further information, you and/or your attorney may contact: Director, Planned Gifts The Archdiocese of New York 1011 First Avenue Suite 1400 New York, NY 10022 212-371-1000, ext. 3317 |
VICARIATE NEWS Archbishop Dolan has reconstituted the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council (APC). APC is a body that advices the Archbishop just like the Parish Council advises the pastor. Two members are chosen from each vicariate to serve on the council. Tanya Douglas from our parish has been selected for this honor and responsibility. We congratulate her for accepting the position. Archbishop Timothy Dolan has appointed Rev. Fred Pellegrini S.J., Pastor of Saint Aloysius Parish, as Vicar of the Central Harlem Vicariate. The Vicar serves as the connection between the Archbishop and the Central Harlem Vicariate community and its entities., and coordinates with various Vicariate leaders the development of Catholic identity in the Central Harlem area.
The Central Harlem Vicariate brings Catholic presence to Harlem through 5 parishes and their schools (All Saints, St. Aloysius, St. Charles Borromeo, St. Joseph of the Holy Family, and St. Mark the Evangelist), the Franciscan Handmaids of Mary, the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Center (social services), and Rice High School.
