º£½ÇÖ±²¥ student Jeremiah Kurtz ’27, a psychology major from Indianapolis, has been selected to receive a CIC/UPS Scholarship, awarded

The scholarship, for this academic year, supports students attending private colleges and universities who demonstrate financial need and academic promise. Kurtz is among students across the country recognized through the CIC/UPS Educational Endowment, which this year distributed more than $1.4 million in scholarships to students at independent institutions.

At Holy Cross, Kurtz is studying psychology with the goal of becoming a behavioral technician and continuing to advance his career in the field. He said the scholarship will help him continue his studies and pursue the goals he has set for himself.

“The Lord knows that every penny helps us students,†Kurtz said.

Kurtz said perseverance has been an important part of his college journey and the path he hopes to follow in the future.

“No matter what may happen to me I know that I can persevere,†he said. “One day I can make a difference in the world and make my family even more proud than they already have been.â€
